Endless Summer

Pruning

How and when to prune Endless Summer®

An Endless Summer® hydrangea blooms both on growth from the previous year as well as on new shoots from the current growing season. Therefore, pruning should be done with great care, as it can otherwise reduce the number of potential blooms for the next year. Best practice is to prune back stems that have just finished flowering to about 20 cm from the ground, leaving young new shoots to develop and flower later in the season or the next spring.
